How to set points on a rotax 500 engine (503)?
I just bought an 81 everest 500 sled and the guy told me one side wasn't firing and to change the plugs, which i did and one cylinder had a lawn mower plug in it :S, anyways he also told me it might be the points, the right sylinder fires a nice blue
Unless has duel points it should fire on both if one side is OK. May need to check ignition wire and connection at spark plug. Guy you bought it from should have sold you a working engine if he repairs and sells, sounds fishy to me. Anyway try this link:
