mid engine amc car

is the subaru boxer engine hard to work on?

i really want to buy an sti or wrx and do the maintenance myself but i have no idea where anything is or how hard it is to do simple maintenance on them. does anyone know?

Nope.

The belts are right in front, the engine oil, transmission/gear oil, and rear differential plugs are all on the bottom. Get the car in the air on some jack stands or ramps, and you can easily reach everything.
